The Starting Point

Lithograph,ethching,Japanesepaper,45x45cm,2021

The intersection of the station is a "must pass point"
for everyone in the city almost every day.

A station that is crowded with people,
is  this portal for people to arrive at their different destinations
in the real-world.
Sometimes I imagine how great it would be
if I could go through this portal
to the parallel world where I want to go.
And what’s more,
this is where all dreams begin,
thus it could be called the Starting Point.

【 ParallelwordⅠ 】

This is a pre-part of my parallel world.
I always enjoy my time with myself,
considering that they are valuable in nowadays
fast-paced real world.

Therefore,
I imagined a new parallel world
with me in the bath,
the most relaxing space for solitude,
and created the scene in which
I am in the bath in the parallel world.

This is a pre-production of my parallel world.
Because I often living outside my born city,
I always get used to  turning on the TV
whenever I go to a hotel
or other anchorage in a new city.

Listening to the sound and touching the light
from the TV
always make people feel at ease and feel less lonely.

This is pre-part of my parallel world.

"In my dreams,
I always fall into endless abyss,
but wake up to find it was only a dream."

【 Parallelword Ⅳ 】

It’s a early work of my Parallel World.

There was a time
when I always commuted from Takata to Hachioji on the tram
and almost always caught the last train back home.
It takes an hour and a half by train.
But when I'm alone in the empty carriage,
that's the part of the day I enjoy the most.

I start to wonder
if there's a parallel world
and that I am also enjoying this moment of silence too.
I hope the tram she rides in has her own colors.

So I created this piece based on this idea.
